With tapering double-edged blade of flattened diamond section, straight quillions of rectangular section narrowing toward the tip, and wheel-shaped pommel tapering towards the top. Excavated. This sword corresponds to Oakshott"s group XVIII with a type G pommel. See R. Ewart Oakshott, The Sword in the Age of Chivalry, pp. 67 and 95.
